Gabriel Darku (born March 25, 1995) is a Canadian actor, best known for his roles as Geoff Allen in the Netflix series October Faction Some of his most notable roles include Trey in ReBoot: The Guardian Code, Connor Rijkers in Slasher,[1] Roger Faide in The Fore-men, Dylan in Imperfect High, Everett in The Great Christmas Switch and Pete in Ruby and the Well. His career spans television and streaming platforms, where he has gained recognition for his work in science fiction and supernatural genres.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Gabriel Darku was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, and raised in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.[2] He developed an interest in acting after participating in a commercial shoot when he was 17. This experience inspired him to pursue acting professionally. Darku later moved to Toronto, where he attended the Toronto Film School, completing a diploma in Acting for Film, TV, and Theatre.[3]
Career
[edit]Darku's first significant role came in 2015 when he appeared as Brian in Heroes Reborn: Dark Matters, a digital companion series to NBC's Heroes Reborn. He gained further recognition for his role as Trey/Frag in the 2018 YTV/Netflix series ReBoot: The Guardian Code, a modern adaptation of the original 1990s animated series. The show combined live-action with CGI elements, and Darku starred throughout its run. In 2019, he took on the role of Geoff Allen in the Netflix series October Faction, based on the comic book series of the same name by Steve Niles and Damien Worm. The show explores themes of family and identity through supernatural narratives, with Darku’s character central to the storyline.[4]
Darku has also appeared in other television series, such as American Gods, Private Eyes, and Impulse, showcasing his versatility across different genres.
