The Frederick County Fire and Rescue, officially the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services, provides fire suppression and emergency medical services for Frederick County, Maryland. The service is a combination department with career county personnel and volunteers working together, though independent volunteer fire stations.

History
[edit]On August 11, 2021 FCFRs suffered the line of duty death of Captain Joshua Laird[1] in a structure fire in Ijamsville.
As a member of Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments FCFRS has mutual aid agreements with the all of the signatory departments.
It also has Mutual Aid agreements with Adams County Fire & EMS, Carrol County Fire & EMS, Fort Detrick, Franklin County Fire, Howard County Fire & Rescue, MD, Jefferson County, WV, Loudoun County Fire & Rescue, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue, Naval Support Facility, Thurmont - Camp David, Raven Rock Complex, Washington County, MD
The county it broken into 3 battalions, with a total of 27 Fire and EMS stations, 3 ambulance or rescue only stations. All stations are owned by a VFC unless noted with a asterisk(*)
