Flex Databases is a worldwide technology company that develops and markets software as a service (SaaS) solutions for clinical trials such as: CTMS (Clinical Trial Management System), eTMF (electronic Trial Master File), DMS (Document Management System), Pharmacovigilance Software, LMS (Learning Management System) and QMS (Quality Management System), Project Management & Budgeting software.
Headquarter of the company is located in Prague, Czechia with offices in Princeton, NJ, USA; Lausanne, Switzerland; Antalya, Turkey.[1]
History
[edit]Founded in 2011 and still privately owned by its day-to-day managers. Company management and co-owners come from global pharma companies and global CROs and are driven by the idea of creating a truly flexible yet easy to use system to make Life Sciences operations a whole lot easier.
The company was founded in 2011 by Olga Loginovskaya. In 2012 Flex Databases entered the European market, in 2013 expanded to the Asian market. In 2014 entered the US market and opened an office in Switzerland. Two years later, in 2016, Flex Databases opened an office in the US. In 2019 Prague's office which is now the headquarter of the company. In 2022 opened an office in Antalya, Turkey.
At the end of 2023, Deloitte and Flex Databases formed a strategic alliance in the Life Sciences sector. Deloitte contributes expertise in process management, validation, and consulting, while Flex Databases provides electronic systems technology. The partnership aims to enhance digital solutions and efficiency for Life Sciences clients.[2]
In 2023, Life Science Review recognized Flex Databases as one of the leading clinical trial management system providers.[3]
Software
[edit]Flex Databases offers its solutions through both cloud-based platforms and on-premises options for clients to conduct their own clinical trials and perform medical research. The platform enables physicians and scientists to efficiently collect and share data from clinical trials.
Flex Databases helps Biotechnology Research, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing companies run clinical trials, and streamlines the process for life science firms designing the trials. As of 2023 Flex Databases clients include over 100 pharmaceutical companies: FGK CRO, ABX CRO, Biocard, SocraTec R&D.[4] [5][6][7] Clients also include biotechnology companies, government institutions, and contract research organizations.
In the first quarter of 2024 was the first clinical trials software provider to launch AI in eTMF.
