Fernando Siqueira

Fernando Siqueira is a Brazilian actor, director, and producer. He is the co-founder of Cosmic Dog Studios, a multicultural production company based in Los Angeles, with branches in Brooklyn and São Paulo. The studio focuses on creating films, series, and music that emphasize authenticity, representation, and diversity.[1]

Career

Film and Directing

In 2022, Siqueira co-directed the documentary Breaking Myths (Quebrando Mitos) alongside Fernando Grostein Andrade. The film explores the fragile masculinity of Brazil's former President Jair Bolsonaro through the lens of an LGBTQ couple. It premiered online on September 16, 2022, weeks before Brazil's presidential runoff election.[2][3]

Siqueira also co-directed Necklace, a hybrid project blending film, music, and live performance. The project explores themes of vulnerability and connection, with visuals shot across Brazil and the United States.[4][5]

Acting

Siqueira has acted in numerous theater productions. In January 2023, he starred in The Dreamer Examines His Pillow by John Patrick Shanley, performed at The Broadwater Black Box in Los Angeles.[6]

He also appeared in Methusalem, a production by The Actors' Gang, a Los Angeles-based theater company known for its innovative storytelling.[7]

Siqueira performed at the iconic Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, showcasing his range as an actor and musician.[8][9]

Cosmic Dog Studios

As co-founder of Cosmic Dog Studios, Siqueira has focused on producing content that bridges cultures and highlights underrepresented voices. The studio has developed a reputation for creating socially impactful films and projects with global appeal.[10]
