Feeder is a web-based RSS reader released in 2010[5] that offers functionality for both novice users and professionals[6]. It provides a platform for users to aggregate and manage news feeds from various sources, emphasizing ease of use and organizational features. Feeder is built by Really Simple AB[3]
History
[edit]Feeder started out as RSS reader extension for Google Chrome[7] built by Erik Rothoff Andersson as a way to augment Google Chrome's lack of built-in support. In 2012 the first purely web-based version was released which also included cloud sync of feeds and a paid plan.[5] In 2016, co-founder Johan Rothoff started working on Feeder together with Erik full-time.
Features
[edit]Feeder's interface allows users to add and organize RSS feeds and other sources such as newsletters, job boards, government databases and various social media sites.
It supports up to 200 feeds in its free version, with updates every 30 minutes. The paid versions, Plus and Professional, offer increased feed limits, faster update times, and advanced features such as email summaries, and filters, and the creation of public dashboards and custom RSS feeds.
Additionally, Feeder supports the creation of custom rules for automated actions on feeds and a personalized dashboard for a more visual and interactive overview of feeds.[8]
Feeder includes the possibility to create a realtime dashboard. Multiple columns are setup with various feeds and new posts are displayed in realtime.[9]
