Faith Patricia Ariokot is a Ugandan Climate change Activist who currently holds the Guinness world record for the longest tree hug.[1][2][3][4]. She is 29 years old and hails from Teso in eastern Uganda.
Actions For The Climate
[edit]Patricia started her climate activism journey as early as when she was 12 years when she planted her first tree.
She specifically advocates for climate change through planting trees and encouraging people to plan trees. She was initially giving people trees to plant but realized it was not yielding and therefore resorted to doing the planting herself and advocating for planting trees[5].
Her journey to the Guinness world record as the longest tree huger which she did for 16 hours and 6 seconds started in 2023 around 8th December but dint finish because of technical issues. She re attempted but could not succeed and the third attempt is what led her to the record. She faced various challenges in the attempt and at some point wanted out but held on and set the first record as the longest tree huger[6][7][8][9][10]
