There are some multinational European associations in Europe, such as the European Corrosion Federation (EFC) and CEOCORR.[1][2] Moreover, AMPP (formerly NACE), an international corrosion association founded in the USA, has some European branches.[3]
The European Corrosion Federation (EFC) is the leading corrosion association in Europe. It consists of corrosion associations from different European countries and is responsible for the annual EuroCorr conference, the largest corrosion event in Europe.[4]
Besides multinational associations, many European countries have corrosion associations:
Germany:
- Fachverband Kathodischer Korrosionsschutz e.V. (FKKS) (trans. Technical-scientific Association for Cathodic Protection)[5]
- Gesellschaft für Korrosionsschutz e.V. (GfKORR) (trans. Society for Corrosion Protection)[6]
France
- Centre Francais de l'Anticorrosion (CEFRACOR) (trans. French Corrosion Society)[7]
Italy
- Associazione per la Protezione dalle Corrosioni Elettrolitiche (APCE) (trans. Association for Protection against Electrolytic Corrosion)[8]
- Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia (AIM) (trans. Italian Association of Metallurgy)[9]
United Kingdom
Spain
- Sociedad Espanola de Materiales (SOCIEMAT) (trans. Spanish Materials Society)[12]
Portugal
- Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais (SPM) (trans. Portuguese Society for Materials)[13]
Poland
- Polskie Stowarzyszenie Korozyjne (PSK) (trans. Polish Corrosion Society)[14]
Norway
- Norsk Korrosjonsteknisk Forening (NKF) (trans. Norwegian Corrosion Society)[15]
Hungary
- Magyar Korróziós Szövetség (HUNKOR) (trans. Hungarian Corrosion Society)[16]
Czech Republic
- Asociace koroznich inzenyru (AKI) (trans. Association of Czech and Slovak Corrosion Engineers)[17]
Croatia
- Hrvatsko društvo za zaštitu materijala (HDZAMA) (trans. Croatian Society for Materials Protection)[18]
Austria
