Esha Tewari is an 18 year old emerging musician, originating from Australia. She is known for creating Indie-Folk music while in her bedroom, and has a heavy focus on both lyricism and melody. Her listenership has largely been created due to social media support. Upon releasing her debut album, I Can, she cultivated a community of roughly 130k followers. On Spotify, she garnered millions of streams in just her first few career months. When performing her first show in Australia, Tewari was able to sell out the show in just days, showcasing her ability in performing and grappling the audience in an emotional, gripping embrace.
When creating her music, Tewari draws largely from her experience as a teenage girl, as well as creating stories from the perspective of other people. She has stated that she has a love for improvising, and believes in writing music which is true to her. Tewari gained a large portion of her fame from her independently released song, beautiful boy. While her music may mainly be acoustic, he has branched out in newer releases to create more layered songs.
While being her own singer, Tewari's music greatly reflects other popular musicians from the current time. Fans of beabadoobee, Gigi Perez, Phoebe Bridgers, and Adrianne Lenker may find solace within her music.
