Eric Dylan Emdee is an American physicist studying nuclear fusion energy.
Emdee earned his doctorate at Princeton University in 2022, where he authored the thesis Modeling and Physics Design of a Lithium Vapor Box Divertor.[1] He subsequently joined the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory as a post-doctoral researcher, where he has since earned the Kaul Foundation Prize for research on the lithium vapor box concept. [2] As of 2024, Emdee has been stationed in San Diego, California to study neutral fueling asymmetry on DIII-D. [3] Before working on fusion, Emdee was involved in the LUX collaboration. [4]
