Emerson Normand Carville
[edit]Emerson Normand Carville (Born April 1998) is daughter of James Carvile and Mary Matalin. She gained public attention due to her parents' high-profile careers and their notable bipartisan marriage, with her father being a prominent Democratic strategist and her mother a Republican consultant.
Early Life and Education
[edit]She is the younger of two daughters born to James Carville, known for managing Bill Clinton's successful 1992 presidential campaign, and Mary Matalin, a Republican political consultant. Her older sister is Matalin "Matty" Mary Carville (born 1995). Her paternal grandparents were Chester James Carville and Lucille Normand, while her maternal grandparents were Steven G. Matalin and Eileen Emerson.
She attended Louisiana State University from August 2016 to May 2020, following in her father's footsteps, where she majored in Communication Studies and earned her Bachelor's degree.
Personal Life
[edit]Emerson Carville maintains a private life despite her family's public profile. As of 2024, she resides in Alexandria, Virginia. Her family relocated from Washington, D.C. to New Orleans during her childhood, where they maintained a significant presence in the local community. The family later downsized from their Uptown New Orleans mansion to a condominium.
