The Electricity, Gas, Bus General Directorate (Turkish: Elektrik Gaz Otobüs Genel Müdürlüğü) or EGO is the transportation authority in Ankara connected to the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality specializing in public transportation. Between 1950 and 2001, they were the sole distributor of coal gas (and later natural gas) to Ankara. Following the privatization of these services, they only continue to operate buses, rail systems, and the cable car.
