[edit]Elaine Tamboia is an American college student with a growing online following. She is a social media manager and sports enthusiast currently studying Media Studies with a minor in Journalism at Purchase College. Tamboia is renowned for her work in sports media, her passion for soccer, and her dedication to breaking down gender stereotypes in sports.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Elaine Tamboia was born January 31st, 2004 in New Milford, Connecticut. She was raised in Wingdale, New York as an only child with two parents. She has a dog named Oliver (14) and a Cat named Charlie (8). She was raised in the creative space, participating in programs such as Taps and Toes, Cheerleading and theater.
She attended Dover High School, where she actively participated in various extracurricular activities, including debate, track and field, cross country and performing arts. Elaine participated in the 28th Annual Port Chester Invitational in 2017. She ran in the Girls' 1.4 Mile Run, representing Dover (Modified), finishing with a time of 11:04.75. This event, held at SUNY Purchase. She was a notable member of the debate team, ranking among the top speakers in the Dutchess BOCES Debate. She also showcased her talents in several school musicals, including performances in "Music Man," "Singing in the Rain" and Broadway Showcases.
During her final high school year, Tamboia was heavily involved in the school's daily show, "Dover Daily" hosting a segment called, "Senor Superlative of the Day" and working both behind and in front of the camera during sports streams afterschool. This experience laid the foundation for her career in sports media.
College Career
[edit]Elaine Tamboia is a dedicated student at Purchase College, SUNY, majoring in Media Studies with a minor in Journalism. She maintains a high academic standard, recently being rewarded Dean's List for the Spring 2024 semester. She is on track to graduate a year early from college in Spring of 2025 rather than Spring of 2026.
During her college years, Elaine has been deeply involved in the athletics department, working as a intercollegiate athletic assistant with a focus on social media and content creation. Her responsibilities include creating engaging content, managing social media accounts, and designing graphics for various sports teams at the college. She was highlighted for Student Tuesdays due to her outstanding work.
Professional Experience
[edit]Elaine has a wealth of experience in content creation and social media management. She has worked with Purchase College Athletics, where she played a crucial role in promoting the college's sports events and enhancing the digital presence of the athletics department. She most recently designed promotional materials such as the 2024 Sports Awards Program. She has also done an internship with a known as Kaido, where she studied social media analytics for their promotional content.
Personal Interests
[edit]Elaine has a passion for sports, both as a spectator and participant. She developed a deep love for soccer and other athletic activities and is a loyal Manchester United Fan. She also has gathered over 8000 followers on tiktok, after going viral for her "Gamer Girl Check" sound.
She continues to grow her gaming platform on twitch, gaining over 1000 followers with her daily streams on Rainbow Six Siege and Deceit 2. And youtube following with vlogs of her travels and gaming videos.
Tamboia is known for her travels, often going to Europe or Disney. Most often she goes to England.
