Edilson Paca Jr. (born 1999), is an Angolan futures trader and entrepreneur. Paca has been recognized for his contributions to finance in Angola and Lusophone Africa, including features in prominent publications in the region such Forbes Under 30 Africa Lusófona[1]and participation in international events International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO)[2][3]

Early Life and Education

Paca was born in Cabinda, Angola, a region known for its oil resources. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.[4] During his teenage years, he relocated to the United States to pursue education and professional opportunities[4]. Paca's interest in global markets and finance led him to begin his trading career in 2018.[5]

Paca began trading futures in November 2018[5], focusing on developing strategies to navigate global market trends. In 2020, during the heightened volatility of the COVID-19 pandemic, he reportedly achieved $150,000 in profits[1] trading gold.

In 2021, Paca became the first trader featured in the inaugural special edition of Forbes Africa Lusófona[6], highlighting his role in the financial industry. He was later included in the 2024 Forbes Africa Lusófona Under 30 list[1], recognizing his contributions to finance and entrepreneurship in the region.
