Doncaster Hockey Club is a field hockey club located in the north eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and competes in Hockey Victoria affiliated competitions. The club has over 400 members, competing in juniors, men's, women's and masters competitions. Doncaster caters to hockey players of all skill levels, and provides an inclusive environment to be involved in the sport of hockey.

Doncaster has teams in the Men's and Women's Premier League competitions, with a number of International and Olympic players representing for these teams.
Doncaster's home ground is located in the Melbourne suburb of Donvale, and boasts modern facilities, including a hybrid artificial turf, and the recently installed interactive electronic scoreboard.

[edit]Thirteen Doncaster players (10 men, 3 women) have represented Australia in the Kookaburra's and Hockeyroo's and several others at National Under 21 level.
Olympians

- Lachlan Elmer - Sydney 2000
- James Elmer - Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996
Chris started at Doncaster at 18 years of age, the remaining five Olympians started with the club as very young junior hockey players. Lachlan has Olympic silver and bronze medals to his credit. James represented Australia at the Sydney Olympics and won a bronze medal. Andrew Smith also won bronze at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 after which he announced his retirement from international hockey. Russell Ford won Olympic bronze at the 2012 London games, as did Chris Ciriello who also played at Rio 2016. Josh represented Australia at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, winning a silver medal.
A number of other Olympians played at Doncaster since representing their country:
- Joel Carroll - London 2012. Originally from the Northern Territory, Joel moved to Melbourne and began playing hockey with Doncaster in 2018.
- Maria Romagosa - Beijing 2008 (Spain). Maria joined Doncaster in 2014, and has held the roles of Junior Development Officer, Women’s Head Coach and Hockey Director.
- Sally Carbon - Seoul 1988, Barcelona 1992. Sally was a Hockeyroo from 1987 to 1994, winning gold at the 1988 Olympics. Sally moved to Melbourne after her international career, and played with the Women’s State League 1 team.
