Dominic Covey (born October 22, 1975, in Canberra, Australia[citation needed]) is an American author and creator of the Darwin's World role-playing game, published by RPGObjects. He resides in Washington state.
Early life
[edit]Dominic Covey was born in Canberra, Australia, but moved around the world as a child.[1] As a child, his brothers got him interested in role-playing games such as Tunnels & Trolls, RuneQuest, and Dungeons & Dragons, and he later played other game systems such as Chill, Gamma World, Marvel Super Heroes, and Star Frontiers.[1]
Role-playing work
[edit]Dominic Covey's role-playing game (RPG) work has largely been centered around rulebooks, sourcebooks and modules for the Darwin's World role-playing game, but he has also penned a generic d20 fantasy-themed adventure as well as numerous short articles for Modern Dispatch and Post-Apocalyptic Dispatch.
Covey submitted rejected Call of Cthulhu adventures and other adventures to Chris Davis's RPGArchive site, and David began discussing the idea of online publication with Covey which ultimately resulted in developing the Darwin's World setting.[1]
Covey co-wrote and did the artwork for the 2010 role-playing game Abandon All Hope with Miguel de Rios.[2]
