- Comment: I don't think this draft could be really expanded beyond this point with the current sources. All the sources are very surface-level. They are simple short showcases of the product without much content. The Woodworking Network source seems good; try finding sources akin to it and adding a reception section to the draft. Docking Drawer is an American company that makes in-drawer power outlets for charging electronics and other products including phones, tablets, cameras, computers, hair dryers and flat irons.[1]
Docking Drawer was founded by Scott Dickey. He made the first prototype of the product in 2013, listed it for a Kickstarter campaign and launched it at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in January 2014. The product, which is an electrical strip installed in the cabinet or a drawer, provides power and USB connectivity. It works with various drawer glides and can be fitted in different orientations. They also have a patented built-in circuit breaker to protect against high-power device use.[2][3][4]
The company’s products have applications in kitchens, bathrooms, locker rooms, hospitals, mud rooms and dressing rooms.[2][5]
Docking Drawer’s products were nominated at the Architizer A+ Awards 2016 in the Kitchen – Fixtures & Fittings category.[2]
