Dirty Dancing is an upcoming American romantic drama dance film directed and produced by Jonathan Levine, and written by Elizabeth Chomko, Jonathan Levine, Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. It is the sequel to Dirty Dancing (1987). Jennifer Grey reprises her role as Frances "Baby" Houseman from the first film.

In May 2022, it was announced by Lionsgate that a sequel to 1987 film Dirty Dancing was in development. It is being directed by Jonathan Levine, and written by Elizabeth Chomko, Jonathan Levine, Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. Jennifer Grey reprises her role as Frances "Baby" Houseman from the first film, as well as serving as an executive producer.[1] In July 2023, as a result of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, Lionsgate pushed the film's release date to an unspecified date in the summer of 2025.[2]

Dirty Dancing is currently undated. It was previously scheduled to be released on June 6, 2025, and on February 9, 2024, in the United States.[2][3]
