Dirty Dancing is an upcoming American romantic drama dance film directed and produced by Jonathan Levine, and written by Elizabeth Chomko, Jonathan Levine, Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. It is the sequel to Dirty Dancing (1987). Jennifer Grey reprises her role as Frances "Baby" Houseman from the first film.
The film is scheduled to be released on June 6, 2025.

Production
[edit]In May 2022, it was announced by Lionsgate that a sequel to 1987 film Dirty Dancing was in development. It is being directed by Jonathan Levine, and written by Elizabeth Chomko, Jonathan Levine, Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. Jennifer Grey reprises her role as Frances "Baby" Houseman from the first film, as well as serving as an executive producer.[1] In July 2023, as a result of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, Lionsgate pushed the film's release date to an unspecified date in the summer of 2025.[2]
Release
[edit]Dirty Dancing is scheduled to be released on June 6, 2025, in the United States.[2][3] The film was originally set to be released on February 9, 2024, before being delayed to its current date.[1]
