The DiPietro Law Firm is a law firm with offices in New York City, Philadelphia, and Salt Lake City. It was founded in January 2003 by Anthony T. DiPietro.[1]
The firm has obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation for clients in cases involving sexual assault, birth injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, brain injury, and other injuries resulting from negligence. The DiPietro Law Firm has filed civil lawsuits against Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, leading to two verdicts totaling over $236 million for clients who were sexually abused by Robert Hadden.[2] Additionally, the firm has been involved in the enactment of four New York laws, including the Adult Survivors Act and the Gender Motivated Violence Act, which aim to provide legal avenues for victims and survivors.[3]

[edit]On October 19, 2023, The DiPietro Law Firm filed a class action lawsuit against Columbia University and Robert Hadden. Robert Hadden, a former Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB/GYN) at Columbia University and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, was criminally convicted in 2016 for sexually exploiting and abusing patients under the guise of medical care. Hadden is alleged to have abused women and girls over nearly 25 years during his tenure as a physician at Columbia University. The lawsuit accuses Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital administrators of ignoring and failing to act on reports of Hadden’s misconduct, thereby allowing the abuse to continue.[4]
David H. Broadbent case
[edit]The DiPietro Law Firm, assisted by local counsel Gross & Rooney has filed lawsuits on behalf of victims and survivors of David H. Broadbent against institutions accused of covering up his sexual abuse, including Intermountain Healthcare's Utah Valley Hospital, MountainStar Healthcare's Timpanogos Hospital, and other medical facilities. Broadbent, a former OB/GYN, is under criminal investigation and facing civil lawsuits for sexually abusing patients while employed in Provo, Orem, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Despite an adverse action on his medical license in 1990 and multiple reports to the Utah State Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing and other authorities, Broadbent allegedly continued his abusive behavior for decades.[5][6] In January 2023, the Utah Supreme Court chose to retain the case rather than refer it to the Utah Court of Appeals.[7][8][9]
Barry J. Brock case
[edit]Barry J. Brock was a OB/GYN at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Beverly Hills-Rodeo Drive OB/GYN Clinic, is facing multiple lawsuits alleging sexual exploitation and abuse of female patients.[10] The lawsuits claim a pattern of misconduct over Brock's 40-year career, including inappropriate physical contact, unnecessary medical examinations, and failure to provide proper care during childbirth. Additionally, allegations state that his delayed cesarean sections led to permanent brain damage for at least two infants. Despite numerous complaints filed with California medical boards and his employers, Brock continued to practice medicine.[11]
The DiPietro Law Firm is representing the victims, seeking accountability from both Brock and the institutions accused of covering up his misconduct.[12]

[edit]Anthony T. DiPietro, Esq., is a trial attorney.[13] He earned a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from New York Law School in 1998 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business/Pre-Law from Temple University in 1992. DiPietro has been licensed to practice law since 1999 and began his career at Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore, specializing in medical malpractice. In 2003, he founded The DiPietro Law Firm, specializing in negligence-related cases. DiPietro has been recognized in the New York State Super Lawyers list.
DiPietro is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.
