Dewanbag Sharif (Bengali: দেওয়ানবাগ শরিফ)[1] is a religious organization that focuses on self-improvement through spiritual teaching followed by Islamic norms. A vast majority of people are Muslims, and there are other religions too that aim to please their own soul by having the teachings and purify within.

The ideal purpose of Dewanbag Sharif is to teach and guide people through spirituality and a peaceful path so peace can be established in society. With that assured, currently over 30 million people across the world are now followers of Dewanbag Sharif.

History

The history states that the founder of Dewanbag Sharif came to 154 Arambagh, Dhaka from Faridpur in March 1985 and started operating from there as a temporary residance. Later that year, on September 25, 1985 in Dewanbag, Madanpur, Narayanganj, the name is Babe Jannat (Bengali: বাবে জান্নাত) Dewanbag Sharif.

From that moment on, Sufi Emperor Hazrat Syed Mahbub E Khoda (Rh.), the founder of Dewanbag Sharif, became familiar with the name Dewanbagi.

At 1987, he established another residence in Komolapur, Dhaka and the name is Babe Madina (Bengali: বাবে মদীনা) Dewanbag Sharif. For the first time even in Banglaesh, a camel firm was established here. Till date, there are approximately 64 camels. People come and visit the firm; also, they buy camel milk and meat from here.

Currently, the founder of Dewanbag Sharif and his wife Kutubul Aktab, Khatune Jannat, Syeda Hamida Begum (Rh.), are engraved here.

In 1992, he established Babe Rahmat (Bengali: বাবে রহমত) building in 147 Arambagh, Dhaka, which is now officially headquarter of Dewanbag Sharif.

With the above consequences, he established Babe Najat (Bengali: বাবে নাজাত) in Rangpur at 1995, Babe Barkat (Bengali: বাবে বরকত) in Trishal, Mymensing at 1998, Babe Niamat (Bengali: বাবে নেয়ামত) in Chuadanga at 2006, Babe Morshed (Bengali: বাবে মোর্শেদ) at Ashuganj, Brahmanbaria at 2008, Babe Ferdaus (Bengali: বাবে ফেরদৌস) in Moghbazar, Dhaka at 2009, Babe Magfirat (Bengali: বাবে মাগফিরাত) in Chottogram at 2010 and lastly Babe Nur (Bengali: বাবে নূর) in Rajshahi at 2011.
