Deva Finger is a South African born (October 7, 1975), American entrepreneur and investor. He is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Luxury Brand Partners, a private equity sponsor focused on artist driven brands in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Deva is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chromatic, an artificial intelligence technology company focused on improving information quality and data integrity through machine learning verified ratings.[1]
Career
[edit]In 1999, Deva initiated his career in the Fixed Income division of Lehman Brothers. In 2004, Deva was hired to work at Goldman Sachs, where he held the position of Vice President in the Private Equity Finance Group.
From November 2011 to May 2018, Deva founded and served as Chief Investment Officer, and President of New Brands at Luxury Brand Partners, LLC.[2] The company specializes in forming, acquiring, and developing artist-driven beauty brands, emphasizing innovation and creativity. While attending Stanford Business School in 2009 - 2010, he developed the business concept as a way to bring business acumen and investment capital to underserved creative brand founders, while building the next generation of cutting edge consumer brands. He then co-founded the firm with his brother Tevya Finger in 2011, a consumer brand and cosmetics industry pioneer and founder of Bumble & Bumble Hair Care. During his tenure, Deva oversaw new investments, start-ups, acquisitions, and divestitures, managing all brands from inception or acquisition, through late-stage development. Brands under his purview included IGK Hair, Smith & Cult, R&Co, V76, Oribe Hair Care, Becca Cosmetics, and Pulp Riot Hair.[1][3]
