Destiny Aerospace is an American aerospace company based in Saint Augustine, Florida, specializing in the development of amateur rockets and CubeSats. The company was founded by Christian Hughes, Gavin Paul, Hunter Grossmann, and Ethan Grossmann with the goal of advancing amateur rocketry and making space more accessible.

History

[edit]

Destiny Aerospace was established with the vision of building a functional multi-stage rocket capable of reaching low Earth orbit (LEO) by late 2020. The team has been actively involved in designing and testing various components, including fuel tanks, nozzles, and communication systems. As of February 2018, significant progress had been made in overhauling designs and preparing for long-range communication implementation.

Projects

[edit]

The company's primary project involves the development of a multi-stage rocket intended to deploy a CubeSat into LEO. This initiative aims to demonstrate that space exploration can be achieved by amateur teams through dedication and innovation. Since 2020, the company faced restructuring and has not made any significant progress.

Goals

[edit]

Destiny Aerospace aims to make space more accessible by proving that amateur teams can successfully launch payloads into orbit. The founders believe that space exploration should not be limited to governments and large corporations but should be open to all who are passionate about it.
