The Democratic Movement is a political party in North Macedonia established in 2022. It was formed by Izet Mexhiti and several other members who split from the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI). The party primarily represents the interests of the ethnic Albanian community in North Macedonia and advocates for democratic values, transparency, and social justice.
Democratic Movement’s focus is on providing an alternative to the established ethnic Albanian parties, particularly BDI, from which it emerged due to ideological differences. It seeks to address issues of government accountability, economic development, and improved rights for ethnic minorities, particularly Albanians.
