DeepLearning.AI is an education technology company aimed at providing accessible and high-quality resources for individuals and organizations interested in artificial intelligence and machine learning through various courses and specializations. It was founded in 2017 by British-American computer scientist Andrew Ng.
While not a massive open online course (MOOC), DeepLearning.AI creates and provides MOOCs through established platforms, primarily Coursera, which was founded by Ng in 2012.
History
[edit]DeepLearning.AI was founded in 2017 by Andrew Ng following his tenure as Chief Scientist at Baidu and co-founder of Google Brain to "fill a need for world-class AI education". The organization's mission is to "to grow and connect the global AI community" by making education and training in artificial intelligence widely accessible. Since its inception, the company has released a range of learning materials and tools aimed at empowering people to learn about and apply machine learning techniques.[1][2]
The platform has multiple partnerships with several artificial intelligence organizations, including as Amazon AWS, NVIDIA, and Google Cloud.[3][4][5]
Curriculum
[edit]Deep Learning Specialization
[edit]The flagship program of DeepLearning.AI is the "Deep Learning Specialization", which consists of five courses hosted on Coursera:[6]
- Neural networks and deep learning
- Improving deep neural networks: hyperparameter tuning, regularization and optimization
- Structuring machine learning projects
- Convolutional neural networks
- Sequence models, including recurrent neural networks (RNNs) and transformers
AI for Everyone
[edit]A non-technical course designed to help individuals across various professional backgrounds understand AI's capabilities, limitations, and implications for business strategy.[7]
