David Kaggwa is a Ugandan lawyer and environmentalist with expertise in construction law. [1] He is also known as David Ssekigudde Kaggwa.[2] David is an advocate for the Courts of Judicature in Uganda.[3][4]
Career
[edit]David is a senior partner and head of Construction Law and Arbitration at Kaggwa & Kaggwa advocates , a Ugandan based law firm. [5] David has over 12 years' experience in construction law , arbitration and commercial litigation.[6][7]
Leadership
[edit]David is the Director and CEO at Fidelis Leadership Institute , a non profit organization operating in Uganda with a goal to create a critical mass of ethical leaders that are going to impact our community , Uganda and Africa.[8] [9] David has also served as secretary on the board of Defend Defenders, a non profit organization in Uganda that is on a mission to strengthen the work of human rights defenders in East and horn of Africa sub region.[10][11] Other leadership positions held by David include Executive Director at Construction Law Institute , Director at Chartered Institute of arbitrators located in Kenya and lastly chairman at Chartered Institute of Arbitrators located in Uganda.[12]
Education
[edit]David holds a Bachelor of laws degree from Makerere University, a diploma in legal practice from Law Development Center located in Kampala and a Master of Law degree in Construction in Law and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University located in Aberdeen Scotland , UK .[13]
