Dario Nuzzo (borm Salerno) is an Italian journalist, author and branded content specialist. He is the IP owner of dissemination edutainment formats MEDICOM and BRENT (MONEYCOM) and was an author for Mediaset tv programmes such as “Mistero Adventure” (season 9), “Wild – Oltrenatura” and “Dalla parte degli animali”. He currently writes on weekly magazines such as OGGI, GRAZIA, Intimità, Confidenze.
Biography

[edit]Dario Nuzzo starts a career in entertainment as a magician, also known as Dhandy, with his international show: “Il mercante di stelle”.
2000s
[edit]In 2001, Nuzzo created a kid-oriented edutainment tv format, Mukko Pallino, the show was hosted by himself for some years and aired on Italian local channels until 2015. During the broadcast of the show the namesake mascot Mukkotto became an ambassador for kids’ entertainment services. In 2008, the project joins forces with Giffoni Film Festival and is then awarded the MOIGE Shell prize in 2011.
In 2008, Dario Nuzzo starts a partnership with Carlo Collodi National Foundation for the Pinocchio by C. Collodi icon due to promote with cultural entertainment projects, educational workshop activities even in partnership with some brands such as Chupa Chups, Pelikan, Panini, Pizzardi, Cameo, GreenTime and Italy’s Central Bank. Among the projects in partnerships with the foundation, Dario Nuzzo also curated cultural licensing aspects of the brands.
2010s
[edit]In 2011, Dario Nuzzo serves as an author for multimedia communication campaigns for Cinecittà Studios: CinecittàSiMostra, CineBimbiCittà and Cinecittà Digital Factory.
In 2014, he joins Mediaset advertising agency Publitalia ’80 curating tv ads for brands such as Aruba, Officine Toesca and Officine Superbike. In the same year, he joins the editorial staff for “Wild – Oltrenatura”.
In 2015 he joins the editorial staff for the 9th season of Mediaset’s “Mistero Adventure”, serving as an on-camera host as well with a column on the mysteries of Vatican City and the esoteric history of Pinocchio.
In 2016 he is the main author and project lead for the “Compagni di Viaggio” tv game, broadcasted by Mediaset’s channel La5. The format, in partnership with Allianz, was the first game show on the topic of insurance services ever.
In 2017, he officially launches format MEDICOM, a scientific dissemination multimedia format to inform people about health issues.
In 2019, he is the project lead for the Pinocchio Interactive Museum’s by Carlo Collodi National Foundation[1]. In the same year, he joins the editorial staff of Mediaset’s pet stories program “Dalla parte degli animali”, broadcasted by the tv channel Rete 4.
2020s
[edit]Dario Nuzzo works on MEDICOM health series, some of those such as “Vicini di Colesterolo”, “Notti in Bianco” and the international film “Future Seeds”[2] premiered on Prime Video.
In 2020, Dario Nuzzo partners with Italian influencer’s Casa Surace for a dissemination video about subcutaneous injections with their special guest star, Nonna Rosetta.
In November 2023, he is a speaker for the first edition of the TEDxUnisalerno event[3], hosted by University of Salerno.
Academic Career
[edit]Dario Nuzzo partners with the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross for the “Educating young people about love and friendship through the classics” dissemination projects[4], a series of masterclasses with national and international authors such as Alessandro Davenia.
Dario Nuzzo is a guest lecturer at some Universities and Business Schools such as 24Ore Business School, University of Siena (with its Scientific Dissemination Master[5]), University of Florence and Sacred Heart Catholic University[6]. He hosts lectures about brand storytelling and branded content.
