This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Dan Vadim Von is an American metal musician, known as guitarist of the extreme metal band Morbid Angel and bassist / vocalist of ancient Egyptian-themed technical death metal band Nile.
Early Life
[edit]He is a graduate of the SC Governor's School for Arts and Music as well as recipient of Princeton's Golden Key Award in Visual Arts.
Early career
[edit]From the mid-1990s to early-2000s, Vadim Von participated in a number of underground metal bands around the South Eastern United States. The list goes back as early as high school and includes Khaos, Archaic Mass and Wretch. He later formed his own project VadimVon which was initially intended for solo recording but upon gaining some momentum in the underground metal scene with its 666-copy debut EP "Abyssus Diabolorum" (released in 2007 on UK-based underground label Eradication Process), the project took form of a three-piece live band and had three more independent releases until officially disbanding with the passing of drummer Vance Jeffcoat. Aside from working on music, Dan had spent sixteen years professionally designing costume characters for such clients as Warner Bros., Cartoon Network and NFL. He had also spent a number of years as a visual artist for Morbid Angel, who in turn featured VadimVon as direct support on a few tours prior to eventually asking Dan to join the band as guitarist.
Professional music career
[edit]Upon being announced as member of Morbid Angel at the start of 2017, Dan embarked on a major headlining tour which also featured the return of Morbid Angel's frontman Steve Tucker. The revived lineup rolled out a lengthy set loaded with material from the albums Formulas Fatal To The Flesh, Gateways To Annihilation and Heretic. The band's highly anticipated new album Kingdoms Disdained was released shortly thereafter, followed by more touring throughout the next few years which featured support from bands such as Suffocation, Origin and Watain, to name a few, as well as co-headlining the Decibel Tour with Cannibal Corpse and even appearing on an episode of Adult Swim's FishCenter.
Following the end of the pandemic in the summer of 2022, Dan spent a year touring with Incantation, including three tours in Europe, a US co-headliner with Goatwhore, a South American trek with Suffocation and Belphegor, as well as shows in Dubai and Australia, ending his run with the band in the States in the fall of 2023. In the middle of that year he also completed a 40th Anniversary of Morbid Angel US Tour with support from Revocation, Skeletal Remains and Vitriol.
Big news came in September of 2023 when Dan was announced as bassist/vocalist of the revered technical death metal band Nile, spending the majority of the following December in the studio completing his work on the band's new album. After a period of intense rehearsal and filming of the video for the first single, Nile's new lineup made its debut at Belgium's Graspop festival, following by a blistering performance at Hellfest in Clisson, France. The band's new full length The Underworld Awaits Us All was released in August of 2024, taking the worldwide extreme metal fanbase by storm as Nile's most ferocious and technical release in the band's 30 year career. The band embarked on a headlining European tour in September, followed by a tour of Asia which included Japan, Thailand and Singapore, as well as a tour of Australia and New Zealand. A co-headline US tour with Six Feet Under has been announced for January and February of 2025, followed by an appearance at Maryland Death Fest and festival dates in Europe and South America in the summer of 2025.
