Daniel "Dan" Rose is an American coach who serves as strength and conditioning coach in some of Philippine basketball teams. He is also known for working with Derrick Pumaren's team.[1]

Career

[edit]

Rose started his job in the Philippine basketball scene when he was hired as strength and conditioning coach for Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs. That time, Derrick Pumaren was hired as the team's head coach.[1] He also worked with Pumaren when the latter became the head coach of Tanduay Rhum Masters, notably worked with team's superstar Eric Menk.[2]

Rose concurrently worked with collegiate team De La Salle Green Archers, coached by Derrick's brother Franz also from 1999.[1][3] He also worked with the Pumaren brothers with the Talk 'N Text Phone Pals.[1]

Rose also worked with the JRU Heavy Bombers under Vergel Meneses, when the latter was newly-appointed.[4] Rose returned to PBA, this time with the second reincarnation of Air21 Express, reunited with Franz Pumaren.[5]

His last work as strength and conditioning coach was with the National University Bulldogs, thus reuniting with former Purefoods legend Alvin Patrimonio.[6]
