Daft Lucario is a Mexican-American DJ and record production trio composed of Sam Orlick, Tyler Orlick and Willi Bautista. They began their careers by producing french house music, before venturing into big room house and other forms of EDM. The front men of the group, Sam and Tyler Orlick also have a side project with American DJ-producer, Georgy Talavera (professionally known as Zanny Duko) called Dash Wolf that focuses on the Progressive house genre.
History
[edit]2016-2020: Early beginnings and lost music
[edit]Originally a duo, twin brothers Sam and Tyler Orlick began to build an interest in trance music while in their youths. The brothers first discovered the genre after watching the animated film, Madagascar which heavily featured the song, "I Like To Move It" by Reel 2 Real and The Mad Stuntman. The brothers were instantly mesmerized by the genre. While the brothers were attending Valleyview Middle School in Denville, New Jersey, they had a project in the music class. At first, they did the project like any other project but then Sam proposed the idea of turning it into something more. The brothers started Daft Lucario on February 16, 2016. However, they didn't start releasing music until 2019, three years after Daft Lucario was established. The releases consisted of six singles, "The Beat of New Jersey", "I Am Lucario", and "One Step Higher". These releases have since been removed from the public for an unknown reason.
