Nikesh Adhikari (professionally known as DJ Nikz) (born August 17, 1999) is a Nepali DJ, music producer, and founder of Gwala Studio. He is known for his contributions to the local music scene in Bharatpur, Chitwan, and his work with various emerging artists.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Nikesh Adhikari was born on August 17, 1999, in Bansgadhi, Bardiya, Nepal. From an early age, Adhikari developed a deep interest in music, which eventually led him to pursue a career in the industry. He moved to Bharatpur,Nepal on April 2012, where he began to play the guitar and immerse himself in the local music culture.
Career
[edit]Beginnings in DJing and Music Production
[edit]Adhikari started his DJing career in April 2015 under the mentorship of DJ BEE, which provided him with a solid foundation in the art of DJing. His first major gig, Dirty 30 Reloaded, was a huge success and helped him establish a reputation in the local music scene. Following this early achievement, Adhikari began producing music in 2019, exploring a range of genres and styles, and quickly made a name for himself as a producer.
Founding of Gwala Studio
[edit]In 2020, Adhikari established Gwala Studio, a music production studio in Bharatpur, Chitwan. The studio has become a creative hub for local and emerging artists, offering a space for music recording, production, and collaboration. Through Gwala Studio, Adhikari has worked on numerous projects, showcasing his versatility and commitment to uplifting the local music scene.
Notable Works and Collaborations
[edit]Adhikari's work includes producing four songs for Chirag Khadka aka 5:55 on the album Cosmic Soul. This project highlights his ability to blend different musical elements and create cohesive, immersive tracks. Additionally, he has collaborated with several local and emerging talents, contributing to their growth and visibility in the Nepali music scene. He has also released his own original music, further establishing his presence as an artist.
