Constantinos C. Stoumpos (born 1983, Athens, Greece) is a scientist known for his contributions to materials science, particularly in the field of halide perovskites.[1][2]
Academic and Research Career
[edit]He pursued his undergraduate and doctoral studies at the University of Patras, Greece, where he earned his B.S. in Chemistry in 2006 and his Ph.D. in 2009.
After completing his Ph.D., Stoumpos joined the research group of Mercouri G. Kanatzidis at Northwestern University as a postdoctoral fellow in 2010.
In 2012, he transitioned to the Materials Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory.
In 2014, Stoumpos returned to Northwestern University to continue his research on halide perovskites for energy-related applications.
By 2017, he was appointed as a Research Assistant Professor, and in 2018, he joined the Department of Materials Science and Technology at the University of Crete as an Associate Professor.[3]
Currently, Stoumpos continues his research and teaching at the University of Crete, where he leads the Crystal Chemistry Lab.[4]
