Convair Hydroskimmer - American preliminary project for large ocean-going ground effect vessel. The craft is supposed to carry ballistic missiles or aircraft and be powered with nuclear reactor. The design of the craft bore striking resemblance to Coanda-effect propulsion systems by Avro Canada, of which the United States had invested into. It is expected that the disk shape would act as an airfoil when moving in addition to supporting ground cushion. Outside of military usage, it seems that this vehicle had been also proposed for civilian use.^[1]^[2]
