Colby Suits (born March 1, 2000) is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks, the Southeastern Louisiana Lions and the Houston Christian Huskies.
Early life and high school
[edit]Suits grew up in Forney, Texas and attended North Forney High School, where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. In his high school career, Suits completed 326 of his 601 pass attempts for 5,622 yards, 65 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. Suits would also rush for 914 yards and 23 touchdowns, while also hauling in two receptions for 30 yards.[1] He was a three-star rated recruit and committed to play college football at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.[2][3]
College career

[edit]During Suits' true freshman season in 2018, he made only one appearance against Ole Miss where he completed six out of 10 throws for 91 yards and a touchdown and was ultimately redshirted.
During the 2019 season, he played in four games, finishing the season with completing six out of 19 throws for 69 yards and two interceptions.
Heading into the 2020 season, Suits was named the starting quarterback for the Warhawks.[4] During the season, he played eight games, finishing the season with completing 152 out of 249 throws for 1,541 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.
On November 16, 2020, he announced that he would enter the transfer portal.[5] However, on December 23, he announced that he would remain with the Warhawks for the 2021 season.
During the 2021 season, he played in three games, finishing the season with completing eight out of 13 throws for 54 yards and an interception.

Southeastern Louisiana
[edit]On January 27, 2022, Suits announced that he would transfer to Southeastern Louisiana.
On October 31, 2022, he announced that he would enter the transfer portal.
Houston Christian
[edit]On December 21, 2022, Suits announced that he would transfer to Houston Christian.

On May 6, 2024, Suits signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.[7] He was waived on May 22, 2024.[8]
