Coast Guard Station Fairport is a United States Coast Guard is a USCG boat station located in Grand River, Ohio and is part of the Coast Guard District 9, Sector Eastern Great Lakes.[1]
History
[edit]Established in 1876, Coast Guard Station Fairport's mission is to conduct Search and Rescue operations, Maritime Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, and Ice Rescue in Lake Erie. The Station's AOR is from Chagrin River, just outside of Cleveland, to Geneva, OH to the international border.[citation needed]
