Christmas With Cookie is a 2016 American science fiction comedy horror indie film, made by independent director/actor Alan Maxson. The movie is notable for being a completed for $1000 with Maxson saying "I wrote a campy, low-budget movie that mocks itself for only a total of $1,000. That is nothing for a movie! But it would prove I can deliver a finished product. And in the end, it gained a little cult following of its own."[1] It is the first film in the Christmas with Cookie trilogy.[2]
Plot
[edit]The movie takes place in the year 3978 where a disfigured elf named Cookie is living in a shack on the moon and begins to tell the Last Christmas Story.
The story starts in the year 2016 where two siblings, Peter and Prudence Pole, are excited about Christmas presents but are disappointed when all they receive is a copy of the movie Bloodsucka Jones and sexual lubricant instead of the "ninja tortoise" costume and "my size barbie" that they have been asking for. The two decide to take revenge against Santa and make a potion so they can attack Santa at the least expected moment of his life.
Cookie continues to tell the story of how global warming took over the planet and turned the North Pole into a desert and only Mr. and Mrs. Claus remain. As Santa and his wife are walking around they are suddenly attacked by the skeletons of the siblings and during the fight aliens end up abducting Mrs. Claus. The aliens end up teaming up with the skeletons and poison Santa and his wife.
Santa wakes up 1000 years later where the world has started to come back to life but eventually get attacked by an abominable snowman. Once Santa kills the snowman he accidentally sends a signal to the aliens who decide to fire on Earth and destroy it.
Cookie is relived that they decided to spare the moon so he can continue to enjoy his cookies, but the aliens change their mind and decide to fire at the moon, destroying it.

[2] Monster Maxon Productions released also released a Christmas With Cookie rap video to help promote the movie[4]

[edit]Critical reviews for the film have been very mixed, mostly negative. Sequels
[edit]Christmas With Cookie received one full length movie sequel in 2017 titled "Christmas with Cookie: Locked Away"[7] and one short film in 2018 titled "Christmas with Cookie: The Watching"[8]. Both of the sequels took a different approach than the first film and were both experiencing Cookie "reading" another story that was just another movie he was riffing on.
