Cho Wi-je (Korean: 조위제; born 25 August 2001) is a South Korean footballer currently playing as a centre-back for Busan IPark.
Club career
[edit]A product of the Busan IPark youth teams[1], Cho Wi-je joined his boyhood club on a professional contract from Yong In University on January 1, 2022.[2] He made his league debut for the club in 1-1 draw with Daejeon Hana Citizen on March 5, 2022, and went on to make 25 appearances in his debut season.[3]
Cho's first goal for the club came in a 3-2 win over Gimpo FC on August 26, 2023. He was shortlisted for the K League 2 Best XI for 2023 after making 32 appearances as Busan finished second in the league.[4]
