Children’s Hunger Alliance (CHA) is a statewide nonprofit organization in Ohio, founded in 1970 as the "Ohio Hunger Task Force", with a mission to end childhood hunger. The organization collaborates with various partners across the state to ensure that children who are not food secure have access to nutritious meals and a healthy start in life.[2] Being a No Kid Hungry partner in Ohio, CHA is assisted in improving participation in school and summer meals.[3] In 2022, they provided 7 million meals to children in Ohio.[4] Children's Hunger Alliance recieved substantial assistance in fiscal year 2023 in the form of $5 million, when Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed House Bill 45 into law. It's a large spending bill that includes funding to specifically help Ohio food banks and those fighting against childhood hunger.[5]
