The Centre for Energy Investment and Innovation (CEII).[1] is an International Energy flagship Organization founded in Nigeria. It was created in 2021 with the passing of the Nigeria's Energy Transition Plan (NETP), an energy consumption map pathway designed by the Buhari's administration which is aimed at reducing the country's reliance on fossil fuels and achieving net-zero emissions by 2060.[2][3][4][5][6]. It is headed by a Director General and closely assisted by the Senior Vice President.[7]
The organization was structured with the main focus of facilitating the development of sustainable energy practices and solutions through local and Foreign-Direct Investment into the country[8][9][10]
The CEII was set up under the framework of the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources. It was structured on 1 January 2021, in Nigeria and was later registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as a limited by guarantee organization in May 2022.[11][12]
The organization's incumbent Director-General is Grema Sulaiman Ahmad[13][14][15][16][17], who was appointed by the board on 1 January 2023.
