Celine Simunyu is an Irish tennis player. She has a career high ranking of No. 631.[1][2]

Career

In June 2021, she was selected to compete in the Billie Jean King Cup in Vilnius, Lithuania.[3] She featured playing singles as the Irish team secured wins over Ghana and Iceland.[4]

In February 2024, she became the first Irish tennis player to receive a wild-card entry to a top-tier WTA event where she was beaten in straight sets by world No 61 Cristina Bucsa in qualifying for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.[5]

Alongside Matilde Mariani she won the women’s doubles at the W15 event in Monastir.
