Casperflip (stylized casperflip) is an American DIY punk-rock/pop-punk[1] band formed in Paris, Texas.[2] The band consists of Nate Sipe, Angel Tejeda, and Trenton Munden.[2]
History
[edit]Not much is yet known about Casperflip's history, as there isn't much information around the formation of the band, but it is known that their first album, "Leaps and Bounds", was released on May 20th, 2022. A single was also released under their Youtube Channel,[3] titled "Calling Out", and released on January 1st, 2022.[4] They've been releasing new music quite consistently since 2022. and are releasing a new full length album on July 5th, 2024. The album consists of 13 tracks, and is titled "¡Feng Shui!". It's being promoted via their Facebook,[5] Instagram,[6] and TikTok.[7]
Musical style
[edit]The band has been vocal on their appreciation for bands like The Descendants, Green Day (even making an EP with covers from the album Dookie), Fall Out Boy, Blink-182, Dashboard Confessional, The Front Bottoms, Modern Baseball, and other punk/emo/midwest emo adjacent bands. It's safe to say they take lots of inspiration from those bands, which can be seen in almost all of their work.
