Draft:Carlo Muscat (saxophonist & composer)
Submission declined on 13 March 2024 by Crunchydillpickle (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: Hi, thanks for the submission and welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia needs sources that are secondary — such as news articles — and we can't rely on self-published sources like blogs or personal webpages. It looks like Carlo Muscat only has a few news mentions so I'm going to decline, but for what it's worth, he's right near the line of Wikipedia's notability standard. I'd just need a a few more news mentions to reach significant coverage. Please let me know if you have any questions! Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 16:10, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

Biography
[edit]Born and raised on the island of Malta, Carlo Muscat started his musical journey at an early age by playing the violin, then fostering a deep love for jazz once he picked up the saxophone. He initially gained recognition through performances within his local music scene, later expanding his horizons by collaborating with international artists. His relocation to Paris in 2013 led to the release of his debut album The Sound Catalogues in 2014,[2][3] which kickstarted his solo career.[4]
Muscat wears multiple hats as a performer, composer, and educator. He also serves as co-owner and director of the live music venue Storeroom since 2019.[5] Adding to his accolades, Carlo Muscat's sixth album Hymns earned four stars from Downbeat Magazine and secured a coveted spot on their list of Best Albums of 2023.[6]
