Career Sparkle is a career planning service center in St. James’ Settlement, located in the Wan Chai Jockey Club Social Services Building, Hong Kong. The center was established in 2014 and that is the first youth career planning service center in Hong Kong.
Goals
[edit]Career Skarle is dedicated to provide a variety of activities. Through programs and services offered, young people can explore their interests and skills, understand different work settings and requirements, and get prepared for future academic and career development. Career Sparkle has a slogan that help teenagers to “Make Your Dream And Career Choice”.
Services and Programmes
[edit]The services and programmes offered by Career Sparkle are aiming to serve approximately 10,000 high school and college students each year. The center is dedicated to providing a variety of activities, including experiential learning (such as Career Live games and mock interviews), personal growth training (career kick-off camps and job interview skills workshops), and work experience activities (workplace visits, job shadowing programs, and service learning projects). There is a event named “Career Live Job Experience Game” 「CareerLive®職業體驗遊戲」allows high school students to immerse themselves in simulated work environments. They are able to wear work uniforms and use real tools and equipment to become employees in various industries, striving to meet job requirements. After completing the work experience, students will watch industry videos and learn about the realities, demands, and qualities of different professions through insights shared by experienced industry practitioners. The goal is to encourage students to engage wholeheartedly, seize every opportunity they have, and find their own path forward.
Venue
[edit]Career Sparkle is located on the 10th floor of Jockey Club Social Services Building in Wan Chai. Specified address is Wan Chai, Kennedy Rd 100, Jockey Club Social Services Building, 10/F. The venue features six themed experience areas, including esports and engineering, advertising and media, hospitality, medical care, aviation services, and other industry experience zones.
