The California Research Institute (CRI) is an educational organization dedicated to advancing research opportunities for students worldwide. Founded in California, CRI is headquartered in Seoul, Korea, and connects students with professors from prestigious universities, including MIT, Harvard, and Caltech, to guide them in conducting academic research, writing original papers, and developing critical thinking skills

History

CRI was founded in 2020 by Eunsol Ko with the mission to bridge the gap between traditional education and research-based learning. Since its inception, the organization has expanded globally, offering both online and offline programs to students from middle school to college.

Programs

Capstone Research Program

The Capstone Research Program is CRI's flagship offering, lasting eight months. Students work directly with professors to complete an original research paper. Key features include:

  • 40 hours of mentorship from professors.
  • Opportunities to publish in academic journals.
  • A final presentation in Seoul with visiting professors.

Seoul Research Program

Held in Seoul, South Korea, this two-week program provides students with an immersive experience in academic research. Students attend lectures, engage in research activities, and present their findings.

Achievements

CRI has supported students in presenting their research at international conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Alumni of CRI programs have been admitted to Ivy League universities.
