Caden Rogozinski (born April 23, 2002) is a Canadian soccer player who plays for Cavalry FC in the Canadian Premier League.
Early life
[edit]Rogozinski played youth soccer with Calgary Foothills FC, scoring the winning goal of the U18 Youth National Championship in 2019, and captaining the U23s in 2021.[1]
University career
[edit]In June 2020, he committed to attend Mount Royal University to play for the Mount Royal Cougars (although the 2020 season was eventually cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic).[2][3] At the end of his first season in 2021, Rogozinski was named to the Canada West Conference All-Rookie Team and Canada West Second Team All-Star, as well as the U Sports All-Rookie team.[4][5] In 2022, he was named a Canada West First Team All-Star and a U Sports First Team All-Canadian.[6][7] In 2023, he was named was named the Canada West Defensive Player of the Year and was once again named a Canada West First Team All-Star and a First Team All-Canadian.[8][9][10]
Club career
[edit]In 2019, he played with Calgary Foothills FC in USL League Two.[11]
At the 2022 CPL-U Sports Draft, Rogozinski was selected in the first round (sixth overall) by Cavalry FC.[12][13][14] After attending the 2022 training camp with Cavalry, he signed with Electric City FC in League1 Ontario for the 2022 season.[15][16] In 2023, he played with Victoria Highlanders FC in League1 British Columbia.[17]
At the 2024 CPL-U Sports Draft, he was again selected by Cavalry in the first round (seventh overall).[18][19][20] In April 2024, he signed a U Sports contract with the club, allowing him to maintain his university eligibility.[21]
