César de la Fuente (born January 5, 1986 in A Coruña) is a Spanish-Canadian bioengineer known for his research using artificial intelligence (AI) for antibiotic discovery. He is the Presidential Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where he leads the Machine Biology Group.[1] His research goal is to use the power of machines to accelerate discoveries in biology and medicine.
