IMPORTANT NOTE: Everything in this article is made up of Ludmaster's imagination. Any evidence of similarities to real life is completely an accident. The Button Game is a game played on the dot planet that involves pushing buttons.

Round 1
[edit]To start, all the contestants are placed in an arena. They will have 30 seconds to press as many Red Buttons as they can(each press is 1 point). When the 30 seconds are up, every competitor that didn't press a button is eliminated. 1st place gets 1 dot dollar, 2nd place gets 50 dot cents, and 3rd place gets 25 dot cents. A leaderboard will be shown with dense rankings. What this means is...
- Tied competitors get the same ranking
- The competitor(s) below them get the ranking directly below it(the person directly below a 2-way tie for 1st gets 2nd place, etc.)
- This continues all the way to the bottom
Round 2
[edit]In Round 2, things start to get tense. The remaining contestants are placed inside an arena filled with Red Buttons and new Orange Buttons, which take 2 presses, but give 3 points to whoever pressed it last. The competitors get 1 minute to get as many points as possible. Points are cumulative, and rewards for Round 2 are two times the rewards from Round 1. Before the podium ceremony, there is a bonus for whoever pressed the most Red Buttons. That person gets 1 point. All competitors with less than 3 points are out, then the next round begins.
Round 3
[edit]In Round 3, the arena gains corners, some slides, cover, and a bunch of other things, rather than being a blank field. Red Buttons and Orange Buttons are placed around the arena, but Yellow Buttons that take 3 presses to give 6 points, are also in the arena. Anyone who pressed a Yellow Button but didn't press it last is given an "Assist" for five times less points, rounded to the nearest whole number. This continues for all higher button tiers. The bonuses come in two forms, Silver Bonuses that give 1 point each, and Gold Bonuses that give 2 points each. After the 2-minute timer runs out, the bonuses are awarded.
- Gold:#1 Red Button Presser
- Silver:#2 Red Button Presser
- Silver:#1 Orange Button Presser
- Silver:#1 Fastest Button Presser(most presses per second)
All competitors with 5 or fewer points are out of the game. Rewards from Round 3 are 3 times the amount that Round 1 gives out, not including the value of the special medals also given out during every podium ceremony. Competitors that are eliminated can keep any and all medals that they earned(if they earned any).
Round 4
[edit]Round 4 is where things start heating up. Red Buttons and Yellow Buttons appear, but Orange Buttons appear more than usual. Green Buttons are introduced, 4 presses to get 10 points, and a new kind of button is introduced, the Red Spark Button. Pushing a Red Spark Button gives whoever pressed it 1 point, and 4 red sparks shoot outward, turning into regular Red Buttons when they collide with a surface(this means that they can stick to walls). You would expect 4 times the money for Round 1, but this time, Round 4 gives FIVE times the amount of money of Round TWO to the Top 3, and TEN TIMES the amount of money given in Round 1. Wow, that's 10 dot dollars, 5 dot dollars, and 2.5 dot dollars respectively! Gold Bonuses are worth 3 points(see list above), Silvers are worth 2(see list above), and Bronze Bonuses are worth 1(see list below).
- #3 Red Button Presser
- #2 Orange Button Presser
- #1 Yellow Button Presser
- #1 Yellow Button Assister
- #2 Fastest Button Presser
- #1 Bonus Winner(the one who wins the most bonuses, awarded last)
- #1 Leaderboard Climber(most spots moved up on the leaderboard from the previous round to the current one)
The ones with 9 points or fewer are eliminated, but the rest move on. The winner gets a huge amount of dot money, along with everything they earned from the previous rounds. This article gives info for Rounds 1-4, but some games can extend to 5 or more rounds.
