Buffalo Travels (Sinhala: බෆලෝ ට්රැවල්ස්) is a 2024 Sri Lankan Sinhalese comedy film directed and produced by Damith Fonseka in his directorial debut.[2] It stars Bandu Samarasinghe in the lead role, where Mahendra Perera, Veena Jayakody, Damith Fonseka and Dilukshi Weerapperuma made supportive roles.[3][4] George Glendorf, who is a Dutch actor played a main role for the first time in Sri Lankan cinema.[1]

Production
[edit]The film marks the maiden cinema direction by Damith Fonseka, who acted in numerous commercial films in 90s, who won the Sarasaviya award for the Best upcoming actor in 1995. He is the son of late cinema legend, Gamini Fonseka.[5] He is the producer of the film as well as made a supportive role. Story is written by Raj Ranasinghe and screenplay and assistant direction by Nishantha Weerasinghe. Cinematography co-handled by G. Nandasena and Raja Syed. Ajith Ramanayake is the editor,[6] Suneth Nandalal is the art director with the assistance of TK Samaratunga and Pradeep Uday Kumar. Color combination done by Ananda Bandara, composition by D. Jayatissa, Lighting by Nayana Bandusena with the assistantance of Susantha Kuruvata, Sumit Suranga and Pathum Gamage. Costume designed by Vindasa Fonseka and Suneth Nandalal.[3]
Camera support is given by Sandaruwan Jayathilaka and Chanaka Senadheera, whereas Still Photography by Thiru Selvam, Sound arrangement by Sasika Ruwan Marasinghe and choreography by Channa Wijewardene. Vindya Fonseka made the english subtitles. Music direction done by Nisal Gangodage and composition by Lelum Ratnayake, where Bandu Samarasinghe, Mahendra Perera and Lelum Ratnayake made background vocals. Film song lyrics penned by Vajira Jayawardene, Hector Vijayasiri and Nilar N. Kasim.<ref name= buffalo>
