Not to be confused with Buckshot (rapper), an artist from Brooklyn, New York.

Buckshot (real name unknown), is an Irish rapper, singer, and graphic artist. He is currently a member of rap collective Haunted Mound,[1] and was the first artist to be signed to the collective in 2020.[2]

Early life

Buckshot was born in 2002 in Ireland. Not much is known about his early life, however, in an interview, he described his upbringing as being "born and raised in the mountains", and that he went to catholic school for all of his schooling career.[4] He also said in that interview that him and fellow Haunted Mound member Oscar8teen were childhood friends.[4]

Career

Buckshot officially made his first song that was produced by Oscar8teen in December 2020, but had been working with Haunted Mound much before joining, and produced the song Tourniquet off Hundred Acre Wrist.[5] His first song released was named Strawman.[6] Buckshot mentioned in an interview that Oscar was "messing around in FL studio" and he decided to hop on the track. He described it as "fuckin dope."[4] Before joining Haunted Mound, Buckshot was a graphic designer, and had been making designs based off of Sematary's work and posting them to instagram.[7] He soon got noticed by Sematary for doing similar art as him. This evolved into an art collaboration between the two, and eventually Buckshot mentioned that he made his first song in a similar style to Sematary, and Sematary asked Buck to hear the demo of Strawman. Sematary ended up liking it so much he was featured on it and thusly asked Buckshot to join Haunted Mound.[2] Soon after this, Buckshot would be featured on several of Sematary's projects, such as Rainbow Bridge 3 and Screaming Forest in 2021.[8][9] Over the course of 2021, he would release several singles, such as Treehouse and Over the Hills, with fellow member Oscar8teen.[10][11] In 2022, Buckshot would release Haunted Hayride[12], his final single before the release of his debut album, Burning Barn on February 26th, 2022.[13] People described the album as having a "trademark sound & aesthetic", unique to Buckshot, and called it a "great debut for Buckshot".[14][15] He would go on to feature on Cutter Lane by former member Turnabout in June[16], and then was featured on GUNSMITH THA MIXTAPE by Hackle in August.[17] In 2023, Buckshot was featured on Butcher House[18] and Lord of Ephraim[19], which were both albums, created by Sematary and Turnabout respectively. As of 2024, Buckshot has been featured on Sematary's most recent mixtape, Bloody Angel in March.[20]
