Brian Maddox (born April 9, 1990),[1][2] also known as BMAD is an American musician, actor and boxer from Los Angeles.[1] He is best known as the bassist from Stereo Skyline. He departed the group in 2011 and started making music under the name BMAD.

Maddox played in a band called Scenes and Sirens along with Mark Rosas in 2006.[3] The group originated in Texas and released their debut studio album, Lost Lust, But Living on March 15, 2007.[4] In 2008, the band had broken up.[5] That same year, Maddox moved to New York City to join the band Stereo Skyline.[5] He joined the group as the guitarist replacing Matt Villani and they signed with Columbia Records the following year.[6] On July 20, 2010, the band released their debut studio album, Stuck on Repeat.[7] The album debuted at number four on the US Heatseekers Albums chart and sold 4,000 copies first week.[8] The album also peaked at number 133 on the US Billboard 200.[9] On May 21, 2011, Maddox departed Stereo Skyline to form a new group called BLAC along with former bandmate Clayton Johonson.[10]

In 2011, Maddox made a guest appearance on the Nickelodeon TV series, Big Time Rush in the episode, "Big Time Beach Party".[11] In July 2012, Maddox released his debut single "Everybody Is Here to Party" featuring Mandy Jiroux, under the name BMAD.[12] In September 2013, he released his debut studio album, Entirely Bonkers.[13] "You're Not Going Home" was released as the lead single from the album.[14] In 2015, Maddox announced the release of his second studio album, Madness.[15] "Shine Your Light" featuring Chelsea Korka, was released in April 2015 as the album's lead single.[16]
