From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brandon Zachary Kohler is a chemist, high school teacher, and musician in the Salt Lake City area. He was born and raised in Portland, Oregon as a Mormon by a public defender and a social worker. In high school, he was on the track team and played saxophone in the jazz band. Before going on his mission, he traveled to Europe on a total of $200 for two months. Once back in the United States, he decided that he did want to perform his Mormon duties as a missionary and he was sent to Salt Lake City, Utah. Brandon and his friends all later moved to Utah and began their new lives in their religious homeland. Shortly after, he met his soon-to-be wife, Erica Marley, and began their courtship. After the wedding, he started attending the University of Utah to become a chemistry teacher. After his mission and all throughout college, Brandon played keys in several bands, one of which was Forest Feathers and gained a decent following in the Salt Lake valley. He graduated the University of Utah on time and immediately began teaching at Highland High School. That summer, he met Kylie Anyce Bearden who became another long-term partner of his. Kylie reignited his love of camping and the outdoors, and the two of them had many adventures. Later, Brandon, Erica, and Kylie all moved in together in Salt Lake City and continue to thrive in their polycule, friendships, and creative endeavors.
